Terms of Use
Effective from 1 October 2026. These terms apply to the English Idioms, Phrasal Verbs and Irregular Verbs apps (the “apps”) and to Pro purchases made in the apps or on this website.
1. Agreement
The apps are provided by individual entrepreneur (ФОП) Artur Ahapov, registered in Ukraine and trading as Smart Learning Solutions (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using an app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the apps.
2. Using the apps
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for your own learning on devices you own or control, in line with the rules of the App Store or Google Play. You must be at least 13, or have a parent’s permission.
3. Free and Pro
Each app can be used for free with limited content and features; the free version shows ads. Pro unlocks the whole app and removes ads. Pro is sold for each app separately: buying Pro in one app does not unlock the others. What Free and Pro include is shown in each app and on this website and may grow as we add content.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. They renew at the end of each period at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Purchases in the apps are charged to your App Store or Google Play account. Purchases on this website are charged by the payment provider shown at checkout, which may act as the seller.
- Free trials: where offered, such as 7 days on the yearly plan in English Idioms, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before it does. One trial per person per app.
- Prices are shown before you pay. They can differ between the app stores and this website and between countries, and local taxes may be added. We may change prices for future periods; subscribers are told in advance as the store or provider requires.
5. Lifetime purchase
Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment that unlocks Pro in that app for as long as we offer and support the app. It does not include the other apps in the family or future separate products.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- App Store: cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: cancel in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Refunds follow Google Play’s policies.
- This website: cancel with the link in your receipt email. Refunds follow the refund policy of the payment provider shown at checkout.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have additional rights under your local law, including a right of withdrawal for purchases made on this website, as set out in the payment provider’s terms at checkout.
7. Pro bought on the website
To use Pro bought on this website, follow the activation instructions in your receipt email. Pro bought in the App Store or Google Play is restored with Restore purchases on the same store account.
8. Content and results
We work hard to keep examples, translations and explanations accurate, but language changes and mistakes happen. The apps are learning aids and do not guarantee any exam result or level of fluency. Please report mistakes to englishidioms@ukr.net.
9. Acceptable use
Do not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the apps’ content, reverse-engineer the apps beyond what the law allows, interfere with how they work, or use them unlawfully.
10. Intellectual property
The apps, their content (idioms, verbs, examples, explanations, audio and design) and the Smart Learning Solutions name and icons belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of any of them.
11. Changes to the apps and these terms
We may add, change or remove features and content, and may stop offering an app. We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown above, and continuing to use the apps means you accept it.
12. Disclaimer and liability
The apps are provided “as is” to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
13. Apple App Store
If you downloaded an app from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of its purchase price, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for product claims and intellectual property claims. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US Government embargo and not on a US list of restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
14. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the apps at any time. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms. The sections on intellectual property, liability and governing law continue to apply afterwards.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and disputes go to the courts of Kyiv, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
